Monaghan Bros showroom converted to festive wonderland for local toy appeal
We decided to run a toy and gift appeal for local families this Christmas. We called upon local community, customers and businesses to donate new toys, pyjamas and clothes to our appeal to help local families in need.
The items were donated to the Western Health & Social Care Trust's Fermanagh Gateway and Family Intervention Service teams, who will distribute them to children and young people this Christmas.
John Armitage, director at Monaghan Brothers, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness of local people. “Seeing the community come together to support families at Christmas is truly heartwarming."
Dr Priscilla Magee, locality planning officer for women and children’s services at the Western Trust, said: “Thank you so much to everyone who generously supported this huge toy appeal.
“Your kindness is very much appreciated and will help bring some Christmas magic to families in the Fermanagh area.
“On behalf of family and childcare staff, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and peaceful new year.”
